Philodendron 'Prince of Orange' is a hybrid plant with a lineage of 6 different Philodendron parent plants hybridized together to eventually create this plant specifically for interior landscaping. It was created by Cora McColley in Florida, who is responsible for many different hybrid species available around the world.

Intended to grow interesting colours, the 'Prince of Orange' grows leaves that change with growth that is orange, yellow and green leaves, and bright reddish-pink leaf sheaths. It maintains these interesting colours through varying light conditions and temperatures.

Indoor Care

Bright, indirect or diffused light. Full sun may lessen the colour presentation.

Water when top 1-2 inches is dry.

Will grow well in standard household humidity.

Pro tip: The roots on this plant do not grow very deep, and the plant can be quite mature with a small root system. Avoid over potting too much, and keep the mix aerated and well-draining.
