This Philodendron grows large, heart-shaped (cordate) green leaves with a white central vein. As it matures, it begins to develop distinct, deep folds along the leaf surface. Unlike other similar plants, P. pastazanum is a creeper, not a climber; growing its stem along the surface of the soil. When repotting, look for a wide pot (often referred to as "bowl planters") so that there is space for it to crawl without needing to be repotted.
