There is not a lot of collection data about this plant, but we know it was collected somewhere in Colombia, in 1906, by someone named "Monsieur Forget" (seriously).
Something that really stands out about A. forgetii is that it lacks a sinus and lobes. Lobes are the "ears" seen on a lot of other Anthurium, and the sinus is the space between the lobes. The exception is sometimes (not always) when the leaves are juvenile, or when hybridized. The leaf looks like it was glued on and has a neat oval shape with distinct white/silver veins.
